Monte Vulture, above Barile and Rionero wildfire risk

Fires ran through the Vulture on 31 July, with the worst of them at San Fele, where flames reached the edge of the town. Nothing here was reported closed.

A land fire at Larderia sent a 74 year old man to hospital with smoke inhalation after he tried to beat it out himself. Nothing was closed.

The fire in the sanctuary wood at the Incoronata was held by volunteers on 1 August, and nothing around it was closed at any point.

Niscemi and contrada Pisciotto wildfire risk

Forestry helicopters were working fires at contrada Pisciotto, outside Niscemi, on 1 August, after Canadair aircraft had been over the area the day before.

Lucera and the Tavoliere hills wildfire risk

Raffadali and the SS118 above Agrigento wildfire risk

A fire on the SS118 between Agrigento and Raffadali on 28 July burned olive groves and vineyards and reached farm buildings. There is newer burnt ground here that nobody has written about.

Castelforte, zona Tralla wildfire risk

Reports of a woodland and scrub fire in the Tralla area of Castelforte on 6 August, fought with a Canadair and a helicopter and reported beaten by late afternoon. One outlet carries it.

Canas de Senhorim and Nelas wildfire risk

The fire at Canas de Senhorim on Friday afternoon is out, and the national incident register had it in the surveillance phase on Saturday morning.
