Beach clubs and campsites were cleared and the residents of the Villa San Gerardo care home were taken out, and all of that was over the same day. Nothing on this stretch has been reported shut since. This is still the corridor everyone uses to reach Puglia by road or rail, so the usual look at your train on the day is worth the minute it takes, but nothing here is in force because of the fire.
