Built by Agentically Digital

Europe Fire Map is an Agentically Digital product. We're a UK agency building data-driven websites and consumer apps, including a family of shipped iOS apps, and we specialise in automated data pipelines that check their own output against official sources before it is published.

This site began the way our best products do: as a tool we needed ourselves. Planning a summer road trip through France during the 2026 fire season, we couldn't find one place that told a traveller, honestly, what they needed to know: where the fires were, where the heat would be, what actually gets disrupted, and how far ahead any forecast can genuinely see. So we built it, first for France, then for the whole continent as the same fires swept Spain, Portugal, Greece and Italy.

How it works

An automated pipeline refreshes the data every morning from public sources: NASA satellite fire detections, MeteoAlarm official alerts, Open-Meteo forecasts and national civil-protection publications. Before publication, an automated gate extracts the factual claims from the fire and disruption reporting and checks each one against those official sources; anything that cannot be confirmed is cut rather than published. That gate covers the reporting, not the background guidance and explanation around it, and we are extending it. Every page carries two dates: when the figures were refreshed, and when that reporting was last verified. They are often different, and we say so rather than round the older one up.

What this site is not

It is not an official source and never overrules one. If this site and a national authority disagree, the authority is right. In danger anywhere in the EU, call 112. Conditions change hourly during fires. Use the live-check toolkit for anything you're about to act on.

How it stays free

The site is supported by guide sales, licensing and advertising. Commercial links and ads never influence the safety content, source selection or editorial conclusions. Companies can also license the embeddable map.
