Butera took people out of the edge of town and sheltered them in two churches in July. The emergency was declared over, and there is newer burnt ground nobody has commented on.

- Check locally: The Butera fire reported completely beaten on 20 July. Completamente domato means completely beaten. Two days later the same outlet reported flames again at the contrada Cataldo bridge with the alert still high, and nothing has been published about the town since. (as of 2026-07-22)
- Restriction lifted: Residents taken out of the outskirts of Butera were able to go home. People from the outlying areas sheltered in the Chiesa Madre and the church at Santa Maria di Gesù while the fire burned. The emergency was declared over on 20 July. (as of 2026-07-20)
