Flames were visible during the night and smoke was still rising in the morning, with no new aerial drops made because aircraft had been committed to the Moregallo fire instead, and a ground attack in the Taeggio area under consideration. Premana has issued a temporary order closing the agro silvo pastoral road through the val Fraina that leads up to the Alpe Caprecolo, to vehicles and to people on foot. ANSA reported on 1 August that the fire had by then been burning for three weeks, worked by two Canadair aircraft, a helicopter and a fire service drone team flying thermal cameras over the burnt area.
