What to ask the campsite
- Are you open today, and are access roads open?
- Is any part of the site, beach, cycle route, forest or natural area closed?
- What signal means evacuation, and where is the assembly point?
- Which exit should motorhomes use if the main gate is blocked?
Why Gironde needs extra caution
Gironde.fr reported black-level forest-fire vigilance from 25 July 2026, closures of sensitive natural areas and restrictions including no isolated camping or bivouac in woods, forests and heath within 200 metres. That is directly relevant to vans, tents, aires and informal overnight stops.
